Background. The New South Wales Parachute Council (NSWPC) is governed under the auspices of the Australian Parachute Federation Ltd (ABN: 75 061 266 510) IAW ref A and B.
Appointment. Appointment as Council Admin is IAW ref A-B. Ref B specifies that the Council Admin is a Council Officer and not part of the Council Executive. This is therefore an optional position.
Responsibilities. Are detailed at ref B, in addition the Council Admin is to:
- Develop and Recommend to the NSWPC Council Executive the following plans, in a manner that is consistent with the APF plans and key Stakeholders such as the NSW Office of Sport.
- Apply the APF Strategic Plan to NSWPC aspects,
- Review NSWPC Funding Framework,
- Review NSWPC Funding Policy, and
- Edit NSWPC website.
Stakeholders. Include:
- Australian Parachute Federation (APF) www.apf.com.au;
- Office of Sport | NSW Government www.sport.nsw.gov.au
- NSWPC Members;
- Drop Zones (as defined by ref B);
- Chief Instructors at Drop Zones (as defined by ref B);
- Minerva Network www.minervanetwork.com.au
- The Trustee for AUSTRALIAN PARACHUTE TEAM ADVANCEMENT TRUST
Meetings. Include:
- NSWPC Annual General Meeting,
- NSWPC General Meetings, and
- NSWPC Committee Meetings.
Bank Accounts. The Council Admin is not required to operate the bank accounts.
Selection Criteria. Ideally the Council Admin is someone who:
- Can communicate effectively,
- Is well informed of all organisation activities,
- Is aware of the future directions and plans of members,
- Has a good working knowledge of the NSWPC and APF, and
- Is a supportive leader for all organisations members.
